The estate sale servicer will typically come in organize, price out & broom clean your property for the 2 day sale. 25-35% commission is common depending on condition of sale items along with extent of organization/cleaning that needs to be accomplished. In the end, left over items are hauled off and empty house is left and ready for you to sell. Beware of any agency who is hesitant to reduce prices at the end of day one or on day 2 of sale. They will 'hold' items and re-sell them after your employment agreement ends for their own personal profit. They should be working to sell as many items as possible while under your hire.
